I coach individual clients in private practice and as a consultant coach in organisational settings.
As a development coach the focus of my practice is coaching individuals through phases of professional or personal development, transition and career or life change. Clients include early career and established leaders, professionals, higher education academic staff.
My coaching approach draws on a range of traditions, allowing me to tailor my coaching style to the individual client and coaching issue. Under pinned by person-centred values, listening, questioning skills and use of creative methods, I support my clients to reflect in depth. Clients are able to fully explore any complexity or ambiguity related to their coaching issue leading to new understanding.
My role in the coaching process is to co-create and maintain a ‘safe space’ for reflection so my clients can investigate, experiment and gain insight about themselves and the issue they have brought to coaching. Challenging and supportive, but always with gentle humour I work with my clients to generate new perceptions and greater self-understanding. The coaching process enables clients to use these outcomes to create options for action, in ways which feel ‘right’ for them.
